Seriously, if you buy something without reading the description -

"Made from easy to clean polypropylene"

- how can you give a product 2 stars because you didn't realize it was plastic?? We leave reviews here to help other potential buyers and to disclose information they might find helpful. Your inability to read is not helpful to people looking for placemats.

Having said that, these are lovely. They do slip around a bit, but once you put a dish down it's less of an issue. They are not too thin and flimsy, and they look nice. I didn't have any trouble peeling off the stickers, but having read other reviews, I will be extra careful with the other set I ordered (when it came up on Amazon Warehouse for $6).
I own some plastic placemats with a textured side that keeps them from sliding around as much, but they are really plain, and of course, not reversible. They both have their place, but these look lovely in my kitchen every day.
