I purchased this tablecloth in the round shape to cover our oval dining room table. I wasn't sure if it would look nice, since the sides hanging down would not be even, but figured I could always remove the center leaf to make the table round if it looked funny. Luckily, this tablecloth looks perfect, even on the oval table. It has a beautiful and subtle stripe pattern and a soft, slightly silky feel. Also - and most importantly for a table cloth - it has gone through the wash several times already with no ill effects.
