I bought this for my 2-yr old niece, because my sister has one exactly like it and my niece has shown an interest in helping her in the kitchen. Since my niece is really petite (even for a 2 yr-old) I thought this would be HUGE on her after reading some of the reviews, but since the neck and back ties are fully adjustable, it fit her just fine. Plus, since it is intended for slightly older kids, it's nice that she'll be able to wear it for years. The material is really really thin, which I wasn't too impressed with, but since it's so cute, it's easy to overlook that part.

These towels are the strangest towels I have ever used. They are 100% cotton, and they look thirsty and thick, but if you try to wipe up water on the counter or dry a glass, they just push the water around and dont' pick up ANYTHING! Very weird. It's like they're coated with some sort of silicone. I tried washing and drying repeatedly and nothing changes, they don't work as towels. If you are furnishing a set for a tv show or adding some color to a house for sale, these will work fine since they really are a nice color. If you want to use them, however, you'll be disappointed. Look somewhere else.

HIC Red Gingham Apron Review

I'm the kind of person who can't be trusted in the kitchen unless I'm wearing an apron. I seem to acquire spots, smears and whatnot with ease, so need an apron at all times, even washing dishes...yes, by hand! Some aprons are thick and stiff, some too long...or too short, some forget that one size does NOT fit all! But, this apron is JUST RIGHT for me. I'm a short female 5'2" so don't like them down at my ankles, this hits just below the knee, has a D-ring for neck adjustment, long enough ties to make a good bow, is soft and love the color. I've only washed it once since getting it a few days ago, and it needed ironing, so if you don't like wrinkled aprons, you might want to try Gourmet Classics' poly/cotton mix. I'm just wierd enough to enjoy ironing ( it's so satisfying to see the puckers all smooth out in the steam! ) so that isn't an issue with me, just add it to the napkins and tablecloths on ironing day. I'll be adding the black & white check and would hope that they might come out with some other colors. I might also try the poly/cotton to get one in white or red. I do reccommend this apron, especially if you aren't into all the designs, just want a servicable apron.

Benson Mills Fruitopia 100-Percent Cork Placemat, Set of 4 Review

SHIPPING/PACKAGING - This product arrive quickly, was packaged well and appeared brand new as advertised.

CONSTRUCTION/APPEARANCE - These placemats are made of hard MDF or similar particle board type wood, stained dark brown on the eges and covered on the back with a thin cork covering where it would touch your table. The front offers a glossy photo-like image with a coating that can withstand heat and protect the image from scratching. These placemats are very attractive and look great on our kitchen table, complimenting the table's natural wood finish.

PROS/CONS - The cork backing alternately protects the varnished finish on our table, but also grabs small pieces of crumbs that get shoved up in it. This means you could be scratching your table as you move the placemat around. When we clean the table, I take the placemat off and then wipe the back of it over the sink to buff off any tiny crumbs that may have attached to the cork backing and gently wipe the face of it.

The edges of the placemat are sanded to eliminate sharp edges, but I still find that when I place my arms on the table to rest them or read the paper, (I know - bad manners) I find the edges are uncomfortable for me.

SIZE - The size of these is just as they represented. However, I have previously used wider placemats and I do wish these were just a little bit wider/taller for my tastes.

CONCLUSION - I would recommend these placemats and may in fact order some additional ones in another color.
