I recently got a home brew kit for Christmas and was really disappointed with the labels that came with the one liter PET bottles. I figured surly there would be a way to design my own labels and print them out at home... but as we all know inkjet prints run just looking at them and they would never survive floating in an ice chest. That is where these come in! I found an online website that will let you labelizer (hint hint) a pretty kewl label, then print it off on regular paper...cut it out....place your bottle in one of these tough shrink wrap "bags"....place your label in place then dip the whole thing in hot (I used just below boiling) water and the whole thing shrink wraps to a water proof cover over your label! The surprising thing is the hot water has no effect on the plastic bottle because the liquid inside buffers the temp. My filled bottles were room temp when I dunked em and they came out the same temp....I wouldn't try an empty plastic bottle but empty real glass bottles shouldn't be a problem. If you want to customize your own labels at home these are ideal!
