Product Description
Recorder jack provides a millivolt signal output. This enables thermometer to be used with any chart recorder, strip recorder, or computer that accepts millivolt signals. Output results on demand: Monitor conditions in chambers, clean rooms, food processing, scientific labs, and all temperature-sensitive manufacturing operations. Recorder output provides a hard copy for today’s stringent QC documentation requirements. Output specifications are 1 mV output per degree in 0.1 degree display mode and 0.1 mV output per degree in the 1 degree display mode. Range is -50 to 1999 degree F and -50 to 1300 degree C, with a meter only accuracy of +/-0.3percent of the reading plus 1degree C. Resolution is 0.1 degree from -50 to 199.9 degree and is 1 degree for other readings. Stores highest readings reached: Maximum button captures the highest reading achieved. HOLD button freezes display to capture current reading. Uses all Type-K thermocouples. Large, bright, 1/2" high, four-digit LCD can be read from 10 feet away. Handheld unit is completely portable and designed for years of dependable and reliable service. Traceable to NIST for accuracy: To assure accuracy an individually serial-numbered Traceable Certificate is provided from our ISO 17025 calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA. It indicates traceability to standards provided by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). Comes ready to use with fast-response, Type-K beaded probe with 4 foot cable length, 9-volt battery, recorder output jack, and Traceable Certificate. Size is 2-3/4" width by 5-1/4" height by 1-1/4" thick and weight is 5-1/2 ounces.Thomas Traceable Digital Thermometer, with Recorder Output, -50 to 1999 degree F Review
I purchased a cheaper NIST traceable thermometer that only had 20c and 100c calibration points done. At -40c the thermometer was off by about 20c. It goes to show touting an NIST cert does not always prove the unit is a good product. The inaccuracy cost me a lot of time and money since I didn't realize the unit was junk despite the cert. This unit had 7 points checked in its range. That is more than expected and I know from that it has accuracy across its range. The tenths place is a nice feature as well to determine the temperature trend.
