I bought two of these for my wife for Christmas. Over 25.00 for the pair, but according to the reviews here on Amazon, I figured they would be worth it to keep from getting burned on cookware. Boy was I wrong. And so is everyone who gave this product a positive review. Gave them to her on Christmas morning and used them to remove a roast from the oven for her for dinner. The roast cooked at 350 deg. so it wasn't real hot. Moving the roasting pan from the oven to the cooktop, my hands got so hot I almost dropped it. That's right, this product doesn't do the job for 15 seconds!! When you examine them you will see why. Although silcone is a good insulator, it is not a miracle, and they should have put some padding inside. I looks like there is one layer of a cloth material lining these, and that is simply not nearly enough. Tried again when we cooked a pizza later on. Same result. Now I have jammed some old oven mitts inside these and they are working a lot better. I will admit that they do a good job not slipping but, hey for this price I expected them to work as advertised. This is the first product I have ever written a review on, and I only did it because this was so obviously NOT worth the money. You buy whatever you want, but if you buy these, don't say you weren't warned.
