I'm sure these are great for drying stuff in the kitchen, but that's not what *I* use it for. :) I bought two sets in the Dune (closest I could get to my bathroom colors, though they have some mighty weird color combos). I use these to dry my naturally curly hair (terry cloth towels cause frizz as the loops scrape at the strands/cuticles). They don't leave lint, absorb well, and are easy on my curls. Scrunching with floursack towels (or old tee shirts for the less fastidious) encourages curl formation that is frizz-free (or minially frizzy at least).

They dry superfast, which is great.

I take a set to the salon to have my stylist use (so they don't use the salon terry ones).

If you hate having frizzy hair and are "natural"...I strongly recommend these. Even if you aren't "natural", they are ideal for getting water out of hair efficiently and gently.

If you do post-wash "plopping" to encourage tighter curl formation, floursack towels are ideal for that.

And, yeah, maybe I'll get a white set for the kitchen. :D
