I purchased this product a few months ago, and I'm very pleased with it. I got the red to match other kitchen accessories, and use it every day to dry out my coffeepot carafe. When I have an overflow from the dishwasher, it's extremely handy to place items on this mat, and it's not "in the way" lying on the counter like a standard dish drainer. I have not washed it yet, but it is machine washable. The mat absorbs water without making the counter wet. I am very glad I purchased this.
