I purchased these for use on dry erase activity cards. They work great on the cards and the colors are vivid. I just assumed these were washable because they were advertised as kid friendly on the front of the box. However, on the back of the box, it states "markers contains colorants that may stain" and believe me, these markers will stain clothes. The red does not wash out at all.
