For this price I expected a lesser quality product. I was surprised to see that it is actually very well made of a thicker quality vinyl. The elastic is well sewn into the edges. It fir very nicely on the table, was easy to put on. I use it as a pad under a cloth table cloth, and it doesn't slide around like one without the elastic would. It came out of the package wrinkled, so I stuck it in the dryer on low for just a couple minutes to get the wrinkles out. Be careful if you do that - it IS plastic so use a low setting. the heat will work the wrinkles right out of it. Let it cool and viola! Great pad to protect a beautiful wood table against Klutzy relatives who spill...
